Since the Program was introduced to Jordan, 29 high caliber trainers were trained to deliver the designed training and support interventions. Since 2000 (the beginning of SIYB training in Jordan), a total of 1557 potential and/or existing entrepreneurs have been trained on SIYB out
of which 519 were trained prior to the signing of the grant agreement between JABA and the Ministry of Planning in April 2002. Since the start of the MOP grant in May 2002 until October 2003, a total of 1038 potential and/or existing entrepreneurs have been trained. Out of the 1038, 861 were women (comprising 82.95% and 177 were men (comprising 17.05%).

Geographical distribution of SIYB training interventions shows that the governorates of Ajloun, Amman, Irbid, Aqaba and Mafraq have had the largest share of the training activities, followed by Al Balqaa, Madaba, Jerash, Tafelah and Karak. Training activities covered almost all areas of the Kingdom except for Maan. Maan will be targeted through this coming year to ensure full coverage throughout Jordan.
